NMN (Nicotinamide mononucleotide) is a molecule your body already makes and uses. It's a direct precursor to NAD+ — a coenzyme found in every one of your cells that helps power energy production, DNA repair, and metabolism.

Why does purity matter so much?

You say "zero harmful substances." What does that actually mean?

Two things, both tested and verifiable:

1. Heavy metals — not detected. Arsenic, cadmium, and lead all came back below the detection limit (ICP-MS testing). Mercury tested more than 30x below Korea's food-safety (MFDS) standard.
2. Residual solvents — not detected.

Wait — what's the deal with solvents? Making NMN involves purifying and extracting, which usually means solvents. Here's the catch a lot of brands gloss over: many raw materials are labeled "harmful solvent not detected" or "below threshold." That often means a harsh solvent (like methanol, a Class 2 organic solvent) was used — it was just removed down to an acceptable residue.

ROKIT took a different route: a "clean process" that uses only food-grade ethanol (an ICH Q3C Class 3, low-toxicity solvent) in trace amounts — no Class 2 solvents like methanol anywhere in the process. All process aids comply with Korea's official Food Additives Code.

The result? Residual ethanol falls below our instrument's limit of detection (LOD: 5 ppm) and is reported as "not detected." That's still at least 1,000× lower than the ICH Q3C pharmaceutical residual-solvent limit for ethanol (5,000 ppm) — meaning whatever trace is left is functionally zero. When we say "zero harmful substances," this is what we mean, and there's lab data to show it.

Has the raw material been safety-tested beyond purity? Yes — and thoroughly. ROKIT's R&D team ran a full toxicology battery through a GLP-certified research institution, following both OECD guidelines and Korea's MFDS toxicity-testing standards. That includes acute single-dose (OECD TG 423), 28-day repeat-dose (OECD TG 407), and 90-day repeat-dose (OECD TG 408) studies, plus a mutagenicity battery (Ames / OECD TG 471), chromosomal aberration (OECD TG 473), and additional genotoxicity testing. Most supplement-grade NMN never goes through this.

Does the quality hold up over time? It does. In stability testing under ICH Q1A(R2) accelerated conditions (40°C ± 2°C / 75% RH ± 5% RH, 6 months), ROKIT NMN held above 99% on both purity and assay. Translation: it doesn't quietly degrade on the shelf.

Anything else that makes the raw material better? A couple of things you can literally see:
